The Dream on the Other Side

By Tatiana Rodriguez

[Inspired by Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, and Edgar Allan Poe, my muses and whose poems I admire. I used their writing styles as inspiration for writing this piece. Their lines of which were suggested to me I made my own.]

Look through to the other side

Bright, with your eyes

Slowly your gaze could not seek,

The dream is worth the keep.

Where memories are made

Stand on the ground so, turning on a closure

The music rose up into the clouds,

All day you heard the sounds.

Along the Chihuahuan street

Eyes of water, voices of gold

Brought down the darkness of the ray,

I was glad the decision was made that day.
