I Remember
By Tatiana Rodriguez
I Remember
Tangerine rays of sunlight
Glinting off the windows of the WestStar Bank,
Welcomed at dusk
But cursed at dawn.
I Remember
The soft glow of lights
Enveloped around the lines of trees in San Jacinto,
Enveloping me in tranquility,
Enticing me to cross over.
I Remember
Standing in the center
Tuning in to laughter,
Conversations of celebration
As scooters Glide by.
I Remember
Chuckling at the thought of those kids
Using the Glide scooters like they would a Razor
But that is a thought preserved
In memory
